Screw You, Hulu!
Hulu.com will start charging people to watch TV shows, according to EW, around 2010.
Funny; that’ll be the time I stop watching Hulu. Glad I didn’t sell my old desktop computer with TV tuner card!

It’s Only Life or Death!
John Unger: “The best thing that ever happened to me was the night an angry, messed up cab driver pulled me into the back room of a 24 hour diner and held a huge handgun to my head for over ten minutes, all the while describing in intricately fetishistic detail exactly what would happen when he pulled the trigger.” Seriously?!

Strange, That
VDH:
What is strange about all this chic-radicalism is how would-be revolutionaries that wish to dismantle America as we know it and/or emulate failed systems abroad, always do so from comfort, security, affluence, and freedom of choice unique to America and Europe, suggesting that radical politics and those who agitate for them are sort of a fashion statement, aimed to resonate among particular elite leftist audiences and to bring dividends from them, but not to be taken too seriously as guides in their own lives.

Alinsky Nods
Tigerhawk on the right’s new interest in Saul Alinsky: “My theory, which I have written before, is that the right was essentially ignorant of Alinsky and his book until Barack Obama became a leading contender. Suddenly, even the mainstream media was interested in understanding, or at least explaining, what a ‘community organizer’ is.”

The War That Never Ends
Terry Teachout: “the success of ‘Inglourious Basterds’ suggests that most Americans, no matter how they feel about waterboarding, gay marriage or health-care reform, pine in their secret hearts for a lost world in which everyone can agree on at least one thing: Nazis are no damn good.”

Is this why I am so happy?
Scientists: “Those who abstain from alcohol are also more likely to lack social skills and have higher levels of anxiety, it was claimed. Non-drinkers even have more mental health issues than those considered heavy drinkers, the survey found.” Hah! In your face teetotalers!
