Scientists: “Those who abstain from alcohol are also more likely to lack social skills and have higher levels of anxiety, it was claimed. Non-drinkers even have more mental health issues than those considered heavy drinkers, the survey found.” Hah! In your face teetotalers!

Or, How Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, with some help from Henry Kissinger destroyed the Academic Left.
And of course, if you think this is a parody: well, you’re just a stooge of the VRWC!

I forgot to mention that last week I saw “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.” It was perhaps the most offensive movie I have ever seen…and I loved every minute of it! Just when you think that the envelope can’t be pushed anymore, Borat takes that envelope and uses it as TP. And the fact that a bunch of people are suing about the movie (the frat boys, Borat’s “hometown,” and now the etiquette teacher), it makes it all the funnier.
What I liked most about Borat was how far most Americans would let someone who is “different” get away with crap. The only place this wasn’t true was New York “F’ing” City, where he was treated the worst. But, for the most part, the people filmed with Borat put up with all his stuff: the feminists who tried to argue that women’s brains are not smaller than men’s (contrary to the head scientist of Kazakhstan), the Southern dining party that put up with Borat insulting the beauty of the hostess and bringing his feces to the table, the frat boys who saw a depressed Borat and wanted to cheer him up through the magic of Jack Daniels and cheap beer; all of them put up with Borat well past the breaking point (err, at least in the movie!). I found that fairly impressive, but maybe that’s just me.
This movie is not for everyone; I saw an older couple walkout about half-way through the movie. But if you enjoy this kind of humor, it’s a great movie; just make sure you know what you’re getting into.

Tyler Durden has some perspective about the Mel Gibson situation, even if he is a bit crude.
